RSI is a leader in the field of rock physics-driven integration of seismic and non-seismic (primarily well and CSEM) geophysical data. The brand is well known and has an excellent reputation.
RSI has a history of providing QI services to E&P companies based in Houston, operating both within the US but also in Africa. More recently Mexico is opening up to foreign E&P companies, which is seeing a growth of companies based in Houston and the US gearing up to expand their operations into Mexico. RSI is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager with the remit of US based companies operating or planning to operate in either the US, Africa or Mexico.
Overall Purpose of Role:
The Business Development Manager position is a proactive sales and sales management role primarily responsible for identifying and developing sales opportunities and solutions in assigned area. Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential clients. Success in initiating and developing national and international sales, marketing of technology and technical services involving reservoir characterization using well, seismic and CSEM both for conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a sales plan for the assigned market that ensures attainment of company business plan forecast and profitability
- Responsible for the sales of RSI products in the defined markets
- Maintain and update CRM system with accurate sales leads and business development forecast
- Work closely with the Technical Services Manager and team to meet client’s technical and business needs.
- Utilizes marketing tools to enhance the sales process. Responsible for customer presentations and trade show activity in relation with the corporate Marketing Communication Manager
- Schedules meeting and presentations to new and existing customers
- Monitor and manage client account satisfaction. Ensures complete customer satisfaction. Provide follow up and support to new and existing customers
- Develop consistent sales presentations and materials for specific customer needs, building upon RSI’s corporate presentation and marketing materials
- Capture and share market intelligence regarding trends, challenges and opportunities
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences
- 10+ years of experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical business development
- Strong understanding of geology and geophysics and possibly reservoir engineering or production
- Knowledge and understanding of some of the following required: Reservoir characterization workflows, rock physics modeling, seismic pre-conditioning and inversion, fault and fracture network characterization, multivariate statistical correlation of production data, 3D geo-modeling and static reservoir modeling, DFN, CSEM inversion and interpretation
- Lead, manage and conclude contract negotiations.
- Develop and maintain strong client relations and disseminate market intelligence throughout the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- “Say what you do, do what you say”, “can do attitude” and “hands on” tempered with realism and pragmatism.
- Fluent in Spanish
- Management experience a plus
