Geophysicist (EM) - Careers - Company
Overall Purpose of Role:
A Geophysicist (EM) is responsible for working on and delivering CSEM processing projects to required company and client standards, collaborating with Processing & Interpretation Group co-workers where appropriate to achieve the required results. This role will be based in Houston, TX.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for managing projects effectively within agreed parameters
- Ensuring that quality control standards are met for processing, modeling and reporting activities
- Liaising effectively with clients and co-workers to ensure that expectations and deliverables for quality and service are met or exceeded
- Providing support to the Processing & Interpretation Manager by carrying out other duties and tasks as are reasonable and within the scope, purpose and grade of the job, as may be determined from time to time by the Processing & Interpretation Manager

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- BS or MS in geophysics, physics, applied mathematics, or related field.
- Flexible and motivated.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Fortran, C++ and MatLab
- Excellent communication skills ; able to effectively communicate and present complex ideas and technical information to mixed audiences
- High levels of technical and IT competency; able to quickly become proficient in new software to successfully complete and deliver project work on time
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Proven track record of development, implementation and testing of EM algorithms.
- Industry experience in exploration seismic processing and interpretation
